When we were lads and somebody bought a Triumph, we always used to say they keep you fit, pushing them home.

judith M is out and about on the southern rivers this week, if you see her give the crew a big wave, she is being skippered by Ross and his family as a belated wedding gift.
Ross can usually be found aboard Lady Anne, on Horsey Mere doing his excellent wildlife trips, this is a bit of a bus mans holiday but with extra special guests, nearly new wife,Holly, daughter Grace and newish born son.
The weather looks fair and has all the makings of memorable family holiday.
Wish them well if you see them, we do.

We tried it, didn't work for us, petty issues can get blown out of all proportion.
I thought it would be good for us as we both work, and to a point it did. Decided to sell our shares (easier said than done) and buy our own boat. That was ten years ago and the restoration took 5 years and a lot of hard earned, we still don't get as much time as we would like as we still work to pay for it.
Boat owning or syndicate owner, both need compromises, we have tried both and know which we prefer.
On the positive front the cost per night is now coming down after 5 years afloat, I reckon about £500.00 a night !

I had a friend at boarding school who not only stuttered but, as he himself admitted, he needed his RRRRs rolled, a statement which always gave much merriment to all but my friend. Us brats always knew him as per, per, per, per Poll Gwave Bwown, or Per for short, perhaps Vaughan remembers him? I was to meet him many years later, his elocution and Rrrrrrs rolling lessons had obviously worked wonders. Was I tempted to revert to stuttering myself, that always started him off! I must have been a horrible child!
We have a friend with a stutter, starts every sentence, but, but, but.
Lovely bloke though is Outboard Dave

Adastra from O'Heftt of Oulton Broad; knew she had been rebuilt in the mid 60s but didn't know she was originally Graham Bunn's Southwind until I looked at Craig's database.
Loch Ness from Lloynes of Wroxham; knew she was an Arnott Fowler design but didn't know she was built by Little Ships - thanks again Craig.
I recognise the lines of the boat in the background on the left but can't think of her name. Similarly the boat on the right. I'll have to leave these two to the experts.
The old railway bridge from Yarmouth Beach station is also in the background.
The young lady standing on the two boats was very friendly. I remember her name and where she lived but I think we'll leave it a that.
Pretty sure that’s my mum !

Can I get a half of lager ? can I pay on a card ?
Heard in the Woods End. Changed his mind 3 times whilst we patiently queued behind him.
Wrong on so many levels.

Really nice article promoting this wonderfull event. I know he won't blow his own trumpet, so I will do it for him!
Dave (Janet Anne) is pretty much solely responsible for getting this up and running, this brilliant event is very much the highlight of our year. roll on !
Cheers Dave.
