Set the Sky box, thanks Alan

Paul,
I will aid you in this quest. Therefore no other holiday maker shall need to travel to these intrepid waters and put themselves in the dangers we are willing to face in the name of all boaters

When are you next up Alan? Need to pick the brains of your chief engineer

Some, but not all Poppy.
I hold the same disregard to humans that kill other animals for no reason.

Partly, but they kill for the sake of it, not always to eat. Cormorants as as bad

Don't get me started on otters

Small allows you to reach parts other boats can't Juli.
We are just starting our first season with our Norman 24 narrow beam. Even after breaking down on our first week aboard we are loving every minute

It was a real pleasure to meet Peter and yourself Dave. I echo your statement about forum members, not sure our little boat can hold enough wine though should we ever bump in to Grace

Wind!

Just checked the web cam at WRC. I notice all craft are mooring side on. Must be a bit blowy up there

We must share the good times AND the bad times mate

Dave, you forgot to mention your other 'trip' that, incidentally, had nothing to do with the beer consumed

I think either some shorter ones or some strategically fitted grab rails would work Frank

Great start Dave, looking forward to the rest of your holiday tale

Now MM that's not an image to put in to people's heads on a Sunday morning. Oh take my eyes

Glad all is well with the boat Andy and you customers obviously did the right thing to get underway again.

Was it definitely lady of freedom Andy, can you tell from the photo? Thankfully if it was they must have managed to get themselves off in reverse.

Thurs 30th April
This was our last full day of this break as Deb has to go back to work on Saturday, leaving me home alone on my birthday

Alan (RB) that is exactly what I thought but when the I checked the receipt for parts and the impeller box the two matched up. The one in the box, that is now in the engine, looked older than the one I removed so I can't really put this on the guy who did the service.
Two people have said that because our engine is raw water cooled then any blockage like a bag floating by and being pulled over the inlet by the suction could cause this. Problem is once the impeller goes and suction is lost then the bag or debris float away and it looks like the impeller has gone for no reason.
That's what I was advised anyway, it could be totally wrong but I'm sure someone on here will know for certain

To be fair Mark I think it's the angle Deb took the picture from. We crossed bang on slack water so any excursion outside the markers was more than likely going to end in disaster.

Some Reward For The Rascal
in Broads Chat

I've never met Robin, but hope to one day, but he seems to be a man of principle to me. I doubt he would accept such an offer even if it was put to him purely because as far as his blogs are concerned he is alway impartial no matter who/where he hires from.
Accepting such an offer would, subconsciously, effect his open and honest verdicts on all the boats he hires IMO.
I may be wrong but that is how 'our rascal' comes across to me. Keep up the good work Robin
