Hope you have a great time afloat. Lovely to read your recommendations. 👍

I have no idea whether anyone will be interested in this or not. But I dipped in and out of it, and found it quite interesting. It's a document I found with a Google search, I don't know when it was written, I couldn't see a date.
The introduction states that it was commissioned by the Broads Authority, but is written by historians not lawyers.

I think it was there last year as well. I’ve seen it advertised on Facebook as well. It’s side on which some people may prefer along with the certainty of having a mooring there and able to confidently book a meal at the pub.

Or everyone will move to Norfolk and give up on the holidays. 🤔

Thanks for another good quiz TH. Well done to Arthur, you were definitely on top form. 👍

Been very chilly here all week, several degrees cooler than so many parts of the country ... but being by the river is relaxing at any time of year.

Not the news you wanted ... and I'm sure not the news all your friends here were hoping for either.
Wishing you the very best through whatever plan you decide on.

I was interested to see this chap back again. I’ve watched a few of his videos of other places over the years.

Congratulations! That’s great news. 🥳

I think they used to be in Wroxham
Dollie’s relocated to share premises with Fizz and Fromage at the small business park opposite the station in Hoveton.
Kate thanks for info about Ken’s veg shed. Must check that out. We also had a senior’s lunch in the King’s Arms last year. Great value for money.

Sounds like a day of getting a few things done. Must feel good to get that water filled up and some shopping in. The forecast for the next few days looks a little on the cool side and mainly cloudy too. That northeasterly wind is predicted to keep us a bit cooler than the west of the country.

Where are you starting out from?

Caught on camera! About 1.30 into the video we have some lovely footage of you, Kate, cruising past Caen Meadow.

The fresh strawberries that we bought there were delicious. Way tastier than what you get in the supermarket.

Popped in for coffee and scones yesterday. Very good service given how busy they were. Very good food. Worth asking to reserve a table if you’ve got a definite date that you want to be there.
Always a good stop especially if we’re also shopping at the garden centre and farm shop it’s attached to. 👍

Happy to report that we had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Bridge today. Very reasonably priced for a Sunday roast, great service and really good food. 👍

That sounds like a lovely walk Kate, and a nice mooring for the day.

I also heard it at the far end of the viaduct moorings on Friday night. That’s a good old distance the sound is carrying all around the area.
I wondered whether you might. It's a bit anti social ... up to 11pm or even midnight you might get away with. But all night is going a bit far. I am seriously considering contacting the local authority to ask what the terms of the event were, if indeed you have to be licensed for live music.

Just to add that apparently it’s a ticketed event.

26-28 May at Hoveton House. No idea whether they have a licence for all night music. Hoping it’s not the same tonight. But moor in the Wroxham/Horning area at your peril.

Well it would be peaceful and tranquil except for the disco that's been going on all night somewhere in Wroxham/Hoveton
That was the second night of disturbance with fireworks at midnight as well. And I was also awake at 02.00. Not impressed. The thud of electronic dance music. There’s been posts on a local FB group about it. Apparently it’s a rave at a local somewhat large private property that I won’t name. Someone did call the police to report it. And all I can say is that I sincerely hope that it doesn’t go to a third or fourth night as it’s ruining the peace around here. And with the weather finally having warmed up we’re having to keep the windows closed. Equally tired and grumpy person here too. 😠

It was an absolute treat to spend some time catching up. The boat is looking great. And I love your very personal map on the wall. Must do it again soon. 🤗

Wow! I have no idea how you made it along all those “paths”. So glad to know that you made it safely back to the boat with Finlay eventually. I’ve noticed round here that since the weather warmed up a bit after all that rain so much vegetation has shot up.

Wow! Epic write up. I don’t know how you manage to capture so much detail. Lovely photos as well. A real treat to read. 🤗

Sounds like a lovely day. I am in awe of your long walks Kate. You seem to know the area so well now. Hopefully a good summer ahead to enjoy your boat.
