  1. Had some tough days which kept me away from keyboard. My Boat will be later on water.. new forcast 14. of March.. What a mess the Dram on the nice Broads must wait longer.
  2. Hi I see your problem, there are only 2 choices, 1 Grind off some materia at the edges of the base and put some rubber on it before mouting with the longer screws. 2 . screw them together with about 2mm thick washers and drill than to 32 mm that would be the perfect solution. Good look always wear safety equipment when drilling
  3. Thanks for the link, that helps to find the right Inspector.
  4. There is a domestic cooker on board but the my Wife, she can handle those machines, wants another one. So just the technical aspect is easy to sort out in a Cooker shop. The BSS Inspector will be another problem but I am confident i will get a good avice by Herbert Woods or the Inspector himself..
  5. Good morning Sir Admiral Sofar i remember there are 2 times 13 KG bottles, just at the rear Well, but a ggod point another thing to keep in mind. changing equipment on a boat is a bitt different compared to a house..
  6. Hi,, for this Inverter you need a 48 DC system, that means 4 batteries and to have a Peak output of 6000 w its about 125 ampere therefor a 48 Volt system is useful compared to the 500 amperes needed in a 12 V. What do you think about this one for your case. https://www.autobatterienbilliger.de/Reiner-Sinus-Wechselrichter-48V-auf-230V-6000W/12000W-Spannungswandler-Inverter. Greetings from the not stormy Germany.
  7. Thanks Janet, good point to ask for the LPG Kit. since you are happy with yours i think we will give it a go. The weight of the Cooker shouldnt't be such problem but i will have a chat with my marina for that case. Your replies were very helpful..
  8. Thanks again Thats the one she liked... but still some power improvements neccessary.. 2.6 KW elec. PWR We are not used to the british cookers never heared rangemaster before.. are that good ones normally ? You know a lot about these things
  9. Peeerfect.. now i got also the coreckt wording.. never heared calor gas before... First drink on me when we se us on the broads.. thanks jill
  10. You have won... Just today they mailed me that it will be earliest at the 14. next month...a long time
  11. Wow that i call real money for that bit. But thanks for that link. seeing this prices i can buy a normal Household Oven and install that electrics and still saving money. As long those Rangemaster ovens are good and my Wife is happy i will give it a go. Again Guys thanks for that quick reply
  12. Thanks a Lot. . I was on that Page and there are the Information I am struggeling with. In March the Boat goes on the Water so I ask then in a Shop
  13. Hi Folks It's me again and maybe a Strang question. My Wife showed me a Rangemaster Cooker. IT says on theire Page IT is a Rangemaster 90 Gas but also asking for 2.6 elec. Connection. Is that Monster on Gas or Not? I couldn't find out.
  14. I am fully with Robin.. but as mentioned before we all are different.. maybe someone needs some extras because of his/her state of health. As mentioned at the Inverter thread after the 5th or 6th walk through the rain to a laundrette and maybe the dogs are a bit upsett for any reason, You will love it hearing the Rain on your roof and just turnaround and put all the bits and peaces in the machine. For a short break its not neccessary, but living on it for some month also during winter.. you might start thinking ... Another advantage of this .. You are the Master of the Switch if you a Switch you Can push it,, if there is any switch you got no choice.
  15. concerning the Price of the Victron Unit..just had a look at the German Shops the prices here are at about 1300 £ thats what i call a big difference. I am not talking some outlets just Marine Supplies
  16. Owning a Boat and its related costs is liking beeing married.. If you are married you 2 solve Problems you wouldn't have, beeing 1. But its worth it. As Orca mentioned " Instant Holiday" priceless
  17. Thanks Robin.. I am used to the German rules.. and now I read about the UK and Marine rules. When I am going to build this OF GRID Power network.. before it will be switched on a professional will have a close look at it. The Elec. system on the Boat requires a lot of thing to keep it well going. Starts at the Alternator(s) to the right charging system of the build in Battery.. The Power Audit .. somekind of a shocking short. I went through the electrics my family is using.. asking them how long it will be switched on a Day... result..1289 amps. As i sad shocking but on the Boat there will be much less than this.. if not i have to have a mobile Nuclear power station in a dinghy
  18. Yep you are both right in in the sentence you are saying. But to me, as I wrote my system, would have 4 Leisure Batts.. I am Looking to archive 600 Amps min. Staying, lets say 3-4 Month on a Boat, my Wife would like to have a real Washingmashine just one example. About Cable Diameter.. there is only one mistake you can do when buying a cable.. too small Diameter..especially on a DC system. Big is beautiful.. in this case safe too :-).
  19. At first.. a big thanks .. this made me thinking too.. about my of Grid Power.. Righ tnow there is the HF Inverter from Herbert Woods which runs OK for Holidays purposes. Maybe I am wrong.. but the way the LF Inverter work they are using a lot more Idle Power, about 100 W an 3000 KW Inverter. So, to me Its my first choice having an LF Inverter WHEN also a Solar system is running. May be my Boat is just moored and not driven for some Weeks. If you nearly live on it they are perfect they can handle a Washingmachine, Dishwasher and so on. I dont know much about Sailing Boats.. keep in mind this Inverters are really heavy. Due to the fact this units are designed like the oldstyled charger. Take your charger of your mobile .. lets say 1 Year old and a charger for a mobile 5 Year old. A 3 KW Charger is approx. 25 Kg a small kid so if you drive a small Boat strike of one kid from your load placard of the Boat All this i mind for my personal circumstances, small Inverter no Solar Panels, I go for the LF Inverter and the money saved some Solar Panels. Thats than close to the Hybrid Boat Robin tested... elec. wise.
  20. Hi,, thats the way all decision should make..nice and easy
  21. The most Rams in Europe just got 2 Wheel Drive and may be the 5.7 l engine just around 300 bhp.. I think nearly every of the Land Rover will pull this Car.. BTW The Land- and Range Rover cars are really good ones IMHO
  22. Lol.. sorry .. I don 't want to go in the wilderness. BZW. I got my one registered in London..The Low Emission Zone.. its compliant. . A 373cui Engine
