Our electric costs at Herbert Woods are currently a very competitive 18p kWh. Sadly due to increase next month as their contract with their supplier renews…☹️

Try typing in Aweigh.
Good app 👍
Certainly is a brilliant app. Goes all the way forward…seven days! Not much help for planning next year I’m afraid…😎

Aweigh now matches the published times at Brundall and my tide clock.
That’s good, let’s hope it stays that way.

As I use an old Garmin for my speed indicator, I don’t use that function on the Aweigh app. It’s just so annoying to get the tide “wrong” especially when mooring up in a tidal river. As it’s so quiet at the moment I’ve taken to stopping mid stream and checking visually, still got it wrong though…😎

Has anyone else using this app noticed how inaccurate the tide times have been lately? Today, for instance, the app showed low water at Acle Bridge 08.28, I noticed the tide was still falling at about 11.00.

Has anyone considered getting an old slow cooker and swapping the heating element for microbore pipe and linking in to engine cooling system? Cruise during the day and get your dinner cooked for free, most of the heat will go into the river anyway once the water is heated.
No 😂
If you do it let us know how you get on…😎

I notice you use a slow cooker, a great idea. Do you power it off electric hookup or your boats batteries?
Both. When I’ve got shore power that’s my first choice, but it works equally well with an inverter, especially when under way…😎

I have emailed both my MP and the Secretary of State for the environment. Today I received a reply from my MP, pretty standard response pointing out there nothing as an MP he could do directly, but would, if l liked, forward my email to the BA to ensure they knew my views!

Hi
We have a cello on an ordinary aerial. The sound isn't the best but it does us like anything else you don't seem to notice after a while
The advantage for us is it comes with an adaptor so you can plug into mains or 12volt
Kindest Regards Marge and Parge
And the same for us…😎

…Tom Farrell had bought it and done it up.
I remember Tom well from the days when he had the Wimpy Bars in Norwich. Also had the occasional lunchtime drink in the Lodge with Harry Serruys and his mates…😎

I did exactly that, was passing, saw a space and dived in. Upon reflection it was so tight I probably would have given it a miss normally but for my determination to moor there. I’ve been lucky a few more times, but in the winter…
