  1. Strange because I'm on O2 as well and I haven't had a problem at all. I had phone signal and 4G, occasionally 3G, mobile data connection everywhere we went on the northern Broads. When we're in Lowestoft and surrounding areas I also always have a good signal. Sometimes I have wondered whether it's just the network or the phone as well that plays a part. Mine's an iPhone 5 and I don't really want to upgrade it because it does work so well.

    That’s interesting thank you.
I’m talking more about the coastal areas to be fair.
We will be spending more time on and around the Broads soon so perhaps I should stick with O2 for now.

  2. But does EE od O2 say: "we are really sorry that our service in Norfolk is well below what we advertise"?

Not that I’m aware of. But I’ve never seen them advertise any guaranteed coverage in rural areas either. Perhaps I missed it.

  3. I think the networks are working on the assumption they don’t need to provide apps as the technology is built into iOS / Android these days. You just need to get it turned on by the network provider.

  4. EE seems to be investing in infrastructure in Norfolk.
We used to stay at Waxham a lot and used an EE mifi device. In a couple of years it went from a weak 3G signal to strong 4G.
But I’m on O2 and that’s truly rubbish in Norfolk!

  5. If you’re on Apple (and I’d guess it works on Android too but I don’t know) you can get them to switch Wi-fi calling on. I switched a few months ago and I’d say it works better than TuGo.

  6. The tidal River Yare, from Thorpe St Andrew to Breydon Water
This message has been issued because we are expecting high water levels due to the natural tide locking caused by high waters at Great Yarmouth, which is restricting the normal drainage out to sea of the Broads system at low tide. High levels in the Broads may last all day until the high tides have passed. High water is due at Lowestoft at 5:30am on Sunday 29 October 2017. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level of 2.01mAODN, which is 1.51m above tide tables. The wind forecast is Force 7, North North West. (mAODN means height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). Levels can take several hours to peak in the Broads in response to incoming tidal waters. Remain vigilant.

  10. Which one was yours Paul?
JohnK, I think it will depend on the shape of the hull, the CF21 for example is quite a bit narrower at the waterline than the gunwhale(if thats the correct term:default_blink:)
I'd be happy to help with any measurements etc just ask:default_biggrin:

    Thanks you.
I’ll definitely be in touch once I own the berth.

If anyone is really bored ... conceptually ....
Will I own the berth if I have a leasehold off the EA?
    Can you own a berth?
Isn’t the berth the water and doesn’t the water belong to the BA or EA or Anglian Water?
    It’s all too confusing
