  1. After a long cruise on a hot day, a glass of something and as you settle down to sleep a cool breeze freshens the boat and the gentle patter of rain on the roof sends you off to the best sleep ever ๐Ÿ‘

  2. Good to hear you are recovering well ๐Ÿ‘ Once you've stern moored tying up shouldn't be too much of a problem. There may be some bending to be done but generally you are in a secure position and won't feel you have to rush.

If you run your stern ropes ashore and then back to the boat's cleats to tie off then you should be able to cast off without leaving the boat at all... being careful against ropes falling in near your prop of course!ย

Used to know a bloke who sprinkled a liberal amount of sugar on his chips.

Thats just not right, couldnโ€™t bring myself to even try one.

Surely that's against the law! ๐Ÿ˜

  4. I had a similar problem with my Nanni engine. In the end I checked along all hoses using a laser point thermometer and found a cool spot at the highest point in the system where there was a join. I replaced the joint with a connector that had a bleed screw.

(If I remember correctly it was Smoggy that suggested the thermometer ๐Ÿ‘)

For me, definitely not. ย Salt, vinegar and perhaps ketchup, but gravy . . . . just wrong on every level!

Yes! We have a meeting of minds and world peace may break out if only everyone had the common decency to keep gravy away from chips ๐Ÿบ

You're not the first to make this observation and custard isn't the only reason ๐Ÿ˜‚

always complement the canteen ladies on their food, it pays dividends

I have to agree, in the far distant past I worked at HJ Heinz and as a school leaver who didn't really look old enough to be out of school the canteen ladies "adopted" me ๐Ÿ˜

My advice is donโ€™t get him โ€˜doneโ€™ as Malcolm so politely put it, unless there is an actual medical need. It rarely sorts out any behavioural issues, much against what people with badly behaved dogs think.ย

It's true that it's unlikely to modify behaviour as you say but there are other benefits such as protection against some conditions/illnesses and although not relevent in this case, it can save unwanted litters. All in all I think I'd discuss it with the vet before deciding.

Just popped out into the garden and picked some apples from my tree for the apple crumble I will be cooking on lads week,

Nothing beats an apple crumble.. the big point of debate of course is the custard. Hot crumble must be accompanied by cold custard! Yes? ๐Ÿ˜
