A few small cosmetic jobs and an engine service. Hopefully that's all... ๐ค

I read that flooding is likely in February.. although looking forward that far is based on statistical probabilities given global conditions now.ย
My guess is that over winter there will be some cold wet days, some mild wet days, some clear nights resulting in frosts and no white Christmas.ย
I'd love to do more winter cruising but my crew, both human and canine don't like cold and/or wet ๐

We paid to moor at Brooms yard at Brundal.ย Mooring for 2 nights, which included unlimited access to free hot showers. 50pย a night. Mind you, it was 1991. How things have improved since then!
The thing that bothers me more than the mooring fees is that when I read it at first I'm thinking "1991! That's just a couple of years ago!" ๐

I guess we have strayed into the political arena here!ย
Other views are available and if dissenting voices aren't allowed (quite rightly) then neither should contentious comments in the first place.ย

We used to make a list from the brochure in order of preference before phoning Hoseasons. By the time we got to 4th or 5th choice being unavailable the rep was offering possibles based on the style of the others we'd picked.
I honestly don't think we ever got our 1st choice but we were never once disappointed ๐

Beautiful flowers and it sounds like you did her proud and was able to say your own goodbye. Feeling and showing emotion isn't easy, it is a tribute to your mum that you did. May she rest in peace.

I like the idea of Christmas afloat but the practicalities of a big dog and miserable crew probably mean all the rest if my Christmases would be spent alone... ๐๐

A lot of hard work Ian but the results are more than worth it.
Congratulations on year one and wishing you many many more ๐บ

September is an odd month, we have had some really beautiful weather in September in Norfolk, Devon and Wales. It can be a bit of a lottery though.

Has your wallet or card ever suffered a flat battery and do they still work if dropped in water?
My wallet has been flat and the cards do still work when wet... ๐๐๐
But I take your point ๐๐บ

Mind you, now we store our cards on our phones to tap out it's great not to have to carry cash or a wallet/card holder.

Lovely photos as usual Malc, you must stop resisting the pub though ๐
All best wishes for Friday and the chance to say a quiet goodbye, our condolences once again.

Agree with all of these but will add when the dog insists she really must go ashore at 2am on a wild mooring... wind and rain being an added bonus ๐

Knowing people by boat or dogs names if perfectly normal, don't worry about it.ย
This is true as my friends from the park, Spot, Rex and Princess Puppy Paws will confirm ๐

It is one of my great failings... I think I need to make a list.ย
Forum name
Real name
Boat name
Although I'll still end up calling someone Skylark or some similar boat name ๐
