Don't worry OBB, the BBC news has just completed the job showing what happened.

If you still don't know, avoid the news, they go straight into it without warning.

They've been doing this ever since they lost the TV rights.

The ratbags didn't lose them, they gave them away. Like others on a race day I do a Likely Lads!

How long is a piece of string?

Twice the length from the centre to any one of the ends. (searches for smart a*** emoji)

Our first visit to the broads was last year*, and following advice from here, and elsewhere, we didn't  plan an itinerary too carefully and that turned out well. We loved our time so much that as soon as we got home we booked for this year, sadly due to me breaking my tib and fib we had to cancel. Not to worry though as we've booked two broads holidays for next year, May and September.

    * Should have done it years ago.:default_icon_e_smile:

The registration is for a Mainair Gemini Flash (microlight).

Registration cancelled by the Civil Aviation Authority in August 2018.

Something my eclectic imagination had oft wondered about, you pay the DVLA for a private car registration plate, do you have to pay for a 'private' aircraft registration number? i.e. G-EEZY for Easyjet.

A columnist who calls a spade a spade and very often writes what I have been thinking! I reckon he will currently find quite a few articles to include in his ‘you couldn’t make it up’ section.

Anyone that 'couldn't make it up' needs to improve their limited imagination. :12_slight_smile:

My latest one which was a few days ago was that when I answered the phone, there was that well know pause before they talked. He had a strong Indian accent, wanted to talk to me about my internet connection and told me that his name was Simon! Really!

I was a bit strong in my reply as I then laughed, told him to F off and then put the phone down. I normally don't answer the phone if I don't recognise the number, but the first 5 digits looked familiar.

    True story:

A friend of mine gave the same reply a couple of years ago, one day  a couple of weeks later at around 3-am he got a phone call and the voice on the other end said in a laughing tone of voice " haha now you F off!"

a lot of my tv time is spent watching talking pictures tv, good films (with proper plots) and good standards too for the most parts, its that or youtube restoration videos, - its no wonder i spend time tinkering in my workshop and making model boats. (at least that is a break from the forum too.)

Talking Picture and YouTube restoration videos, snap! :default_biggrin:

  7. We visited Auschwitz early last year and were very moved by the whole experience. I could only shake my head at people taking selfies,  and taking photographs in areas where signs specifically stated 'no photography/video recording.'

For a big yard like FL possibly not. But Bridgecraft seem happy enough. They can only have one boat out at a time so they simply leave the one they hire to me to be done later. I'm not aware it's an issue. I've never called them out in winter either. Otherwise the boat would be sitting there doing nothing. Bridgecraft seem happy enough with the arrangement. If I had the money I'd have my own boat but until the lottery comes up thank goodness at least one yard is prepared to do it!

If I had the money I'd still hire, it'd be nice to try different top of the range boats on a regular basis, each to their own though. :12_slight_smile:

  9. I'd had a brand new car three weeks and backed it into a tree. In fairness the tree was a mature forest tree at least three and a half foot in diameter, so very easy to not see it! It was one of those moments where you don't want to get out and survey the damage, it was as bad as I'd feared!  :22_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
