Those of you into steam locomotives, my sis in law was at Boness and took a few pics. By all accounts, it was very busy !

Apparently the Flying Scotsman passed within a quarter of a mile from where we live last week on it's way to Newcastle Central but it wasn't publicised. Could have got some cracking shots if I'd known.

If you look on youtube there are some pretty good filums of the Scotsman arriving at Edingburgh Waverley (grand chuff chuff one emerging from a tunnel)  and crossing the Forth Rail Bridge.

Ah the  Slamannan and Borrowstouness Railway, some time since I did any work there, about 40 years!?  Just after we moved from Falkirk and were building the Bo'ness station. Hopefully I'll have my next visit in about 3 weeks.
