coolcat
Will be up to our boat again on the 27th of this month. Coming straight from work Tuesday night so will probably get to Acle around 19.00hrs. Was thinking of going out that evening for a spot of wild mooring overnight again at Fleet Dyke but now the fishing season has started what do you think the chances are of finding a spot? Don't want to go out at that time and find nowhere available and have to turn round and try and get back to Acle before we lose the light ! LondonRascal
There are plenty of 'wild moorings' along Fleet Dyke - but be prepared to do some Reed cutting especially this time of year where their growth has caused a thick cover. But there is firm ground in there. If you don't fancy that, do you have, or can you borrow a spare mud weight? Come alongside the Reeds, drop one at the bow and other at stern and get the rods out

Until last week we had always moored on public moorings or outside of various eateries but we really enjoyed it......so going to give it a crack again. I have two mud weights should it come to that. No fishing gear though
Broads01
I'm not a fisherman but I recall wild mooring spots on the Bure on the left side not very long before you reach Fleet Dyke going upstream. As you probably know the Ant is also pretty good for wild mooring spots, particularly above How Hill.
coolcat
Thanks Simon, Love the Ant but it's a bit further upstream so to speak from Acle considering our evening time of departure
