Wyndham
Over the winter I've noticed a couple of wild moorings on the Bure, which were in regular use during last season, have become unusable due to "fallen trees" Genuine act of nature or something else going on? Probably just my suspicious nature kicking in.
trambo
Noticed this myself and expected them to have been cleared but felled trees still there making unusable. Fred
marshman
If it is against the NWT owned land downriver from Horning, I guess it is deliberate - you can blame those persons who go ashore and light BBQs and/or light fires. They are very concerned, as should everyone, of any fire getting down into the peat and causing a fire very difficult to put out. If people abuse these wild moorings, as some do, this will probably be the response of the owners, I am afraid. Not sure how you can get the message across about not abusing the landscape .
Ray
We love wild mooring and it's sad to see them becoming much less available. The only things we do ashore at a wild mooring are sit, drink tea and collect other people's litter!
