i am on my own here - so all help advise and reccomendations accepted, - have become very interested in bird watching and the only assistance i have is a pair of very old heavy binoculars inherited from parents 20 yrs ago - how/ which is the best place to purchase optics for my use, ???

Try warehouse express ?? do camera,s ect so should know there lenses

With something like bins Sonia try to go to a big shop where you are able to actually try them for size so to speak, I'm sure somebody local will know of one.

I think the main one in North Norfolk is Cley Spy. They have loads of binos and scopes and you can try them all out. http://www.cleyspy.co.uk/
