Palmtree
Hi, Now having moved up to a new laptop and vista, what is this Firefox thing and is there any advantage for me being a basic internet user? Ian
pks1702
Ian I do not profess to be an software expert but I moved to Firefox around 18 months ago. It seems more stable and with a few more features than IE. I for one prefer it
Guest
Have to agree. It seems faster, more stable, spell checker built in - wont think so if you see my selling. A couple of things it don't do but can live without.
senator
Biggest advantage to firefox is that it is not Microsoft and most viruses are written to attack Microsoft. Ian
Heron
I prefer Firefox, much easier to use than IE, cuts down the pop up adverts to virtually nil, certainly recommend.
Palmtree
Thanks for the info, I've taken the plunge and using it now, and it does seem quicker! Thanks again Ian
Antares_9
Mmm, might need to invest in a new lappie soon, Flossy four paws has been playing "kitten on the keyboard" and has ripped the buttons off of some letters, fortunately, unimportant ones so I'll live with it for a bit
