I notice that the 75% increase only applies to those vessels without a home mooring with a greater beam than 3.24m , whilst other craft will have an increase greater than inflation.

An increase greater than inflation sadly seems to be the norm for Broads boaters , surely those in their gilded towers must realise that at some point the incessant squeezing of their toll payers funds will reach a point whereby those able or willing to pay will simply give up on The Broads altogether .

simple economics 10,000 x X is greater than 1000 x 3X

  I sometimes miss the boats we have owned on the 'Broads' and other waterways but not so sure now.

Surcharging vessels without a home mooring seems high risk to me. I'd be very surprised if that didn't get deemed as discriminatory in the current climate. You'd never get away with charging travellers more for road tax.
