Useful Tip

Recommended Posts

A few years ago a builder friend and fellow boater gave us a tip that has proved to be very helpful. I thought I would pass it on. He advised  us to use Thompson's Waterseal when needing to re-proof our canopy following a clean. We've done so ever since.  iI works a treat and very much cheaper to buy than Fab Seal.

And patio magic is far cheaper than wet'n'forget for canvas canopies too.

It always helps when there's not a boat picture on the tin.

But carries warnings of its danger to aquatic life, so be careful

Aldi sometimes does a patio cleaner called doff,  even cheaper than patio magic and same formula.

Dilute 4:1 and carefully spray on canvas and allow to dry, job done, next visit most green will be gone.

For cleaning vinyl upholstery I was advised by the company that made some cockpit seat covers for us to use Mr. Muscle bathroom cleaner. Always found it very effective with minimum effort.
