Finaly after a bit of work we now have our BSC in place so with this, yesterday we went to Yare House to register and tax the boat for 1st of April. after parting with a load of dosh this very nice man told us "dont wait until the 1st you can join the system as soon as your boat is ready. What a nice man and not what i was expecting after reading other forums. so, we will be crusing in the next few days if you see us give us a wave. looking forward to meeting with you all sooner or later.

Personally I would be very cautious on using the boat before the 1st April on the basis of a verbal comment.

Firstly I must say I'm green with envy looking at your boat, that aside though.

Many people will be displaying their new tolls before the first of April without getting pulled over, I think it's all about people being seen to do the right thing rather than intentionally trying to avoid paying.

I read the opening post as they don't currently have a toll for this year so would be using the boat un-tolled until 1st April?
