  4. Out of interest how does your insurance policy stop you passing under Potter Heigham Bridge? Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  5. Did just that with my i20 but then the Tucson came with a full size alloy spare! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  6. I think it is confirmed at 2.9% for powered craft and 1% for unpowered and electric. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  7. And also don’t forget you are buying a share of what’s in the bank account- not just the boat! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  8. As above but don’t forget that whilst up for sale owners are still responsible for the costs every month and at this time of year a few hundred quid for the winter maintenance. Special Shares - I think Thunder is unique of the BCBM managed boats in having this. Essentially there are two*4 week shares and one 2 weeks share which have priority in the allocation chart. Essentially they are school holiday shares. We have just given the go ahead for a front bathroom refurb on Thunder which should be completed over the winter. 9. It can’t be for off £600 though can it?! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  10. I notice that across the 4 BCBM boats there are 10 shares up for sale! Of course though I have a favourite...... Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  11. Just this year at Ranworth a young lady tipped out of a dinghy right next the quay. Wearing an auto inflate life jacket which did its job. 2 men on each arm and she still could not get out. Fortunately on Thunder we have a rope ladder which I hooked over a mooring post and with help she was able to clamber out. Of course not having paid any attention to said rope ladder previously (I mean how difficult can it be?) I had it upside down which meant the grippers were on the underside of the steps and I suspect the steps were floating around a bit more than they were supposed to........ 12. We have our own lifejackets which we take to Thunder with us each time safe in the knowledge that we know their history and take responsibility for ourselves. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  13. It is the same listed air draft as Commander and Commodore that operate out of Stalham. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  14. Thunder currently has a school share for sale. The first time one has been for sale since the syndicate formed.... Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  15. Simple physics- put more heat in that escapes through the many vents and gaps on a boat! We used to take some easy peel decorating tape to plug the gaps around the canopy when we had a share in Evening Shadow. Bit of a pain to lower the canopy mind! 16. They don’t currently open Saturdays. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  17. [quote post=" W3W will not tell the responders the route to get to the location. There is a navigate to button down the bottom. Mine then offers me a choice of apps to use for hands free directions. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  18. I like it! If you have your 3 words and you need to dial 999 you give them the three words. This is then passed to responding officer/crew etc. They then press a button on their phone and say those three words into the App. They then press another button which opens google maps which provides directions. It really is that simple. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  19. I imagine things like this don’t help: https://www.eastern-ifca.gov.uk/fishing-vessel-owner-master-fined/ Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  20. When Thunder (and other BCBM managed syndicates) were first set up there was 12.5 shares with the 0.5 share having fixed weeks in Spring and summer. That’s the share I have so we have a spring and summer week every year. It’s also a school’s holiday share so it’s a school holiday week every year. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  21. Hayley, I have a half share in Thunder and have had since 2011. Annual running costs have not really changed since 2015 And for my 2 weeks share they have been: Management fee £220 Running costs £455 This excludes the Winter Maintenance which jumps around a bit depending on what we choose to do. 22. £3 for Womack is a bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  23. I think the 50m rule also applies to vessels not under your control? Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  24. Several times I have seen people flying drones from the roof of their cruiser whilst moored at Ranworth Staithe. Just last month one flew around the green at Ranworth at about 12 foot off the ground much to the amusement of its pilot! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
