Brooms reduce price of diesel!

Talking to the guy at Brooms saturday, they have just had to renew / replace the storage tank, feed line right from the from the front to the riverside and overhaul the delivery pump. Not cheap but they were still selling at £1.04ish.

They have also got to renew the pumpout pump.

No wonder these boatyards are awash with cash. . (Thats irony)

It is a wonder anyone bothers to supply diesel if they don't have a hire fleet.

Broom's price for diesel was £1.07 per litre yesterday (for us non-berth holders). About the cheapest on the Broads at the moment I think, certainly the Southern rivers anyway

Mark, as far as I'm aware, Boulters in Horning are still offering diesel at 99p a litre. Completely useless information for you guys on the southern Broads though...sorry.

I bet they put it up when we are there next week, we are having an extra day down and are also training two new owners so we may use some extra fuel.

Just be aware their pump is very slow at the moment, Alan. It took us over 45 mins to take on 400 litres, and by the time we left there were 3 other boats waiting for pump-outs and fuel. They are looking in to it, but it has been a problem since they had all the pipes renewed so I understand..

When I was there last Thursday a couple of guys were installing new pump out posts on the visitor mooring and along the quay behind the fuel point. I presume for their hire fleet.
