OMG boat burning

and blokes in frilly skirts

some years ago they led the viking procession in york at the end of the viking week,then tossed thier toches into a reeplica lngboat and cast it adrift,

 

nowadays the boat burning is done on dry  land at the knavesmire, not the same effect

We made a Viking boat for a carnival and had a uphelliya in the school car park, the kids loved it!
