  1. Zycomm are good at locking me out of the car Nige, its either there or the Police Headquarters but the RAC man reckons one of these 'interferes' with my cars immobiliser as it thinks someone is hacking into it - result I can't get into it
  2. Real service Simon. What do you reckon Jonny
  3. Above and beyond the call of duty Simon up to your *^!!¬+@~ in water to bring the 'copy' in. Soon be calling you 'scoop' Hope you have dried out
  4. Almost LW at GY and levels circa 1.2 metres above astronomic LW predictions.
  5. Great service Barry I'm sure those at Broadsedge will appreciate your efforts.
  6. Water is getting away from the looks of some of the webcams but against astronomical predications it is still high. See Lowestoft tide gauge http://www.pol.ac.uk/ntslf/sadata_tgi_n ... oft&span=1 Wind is still 6-7 so this could hold things back and mean another concerned night. It should not be as bad as this morning as the surge has pushed through but high water will remain until the wind dies.
  7. Haven Bridge area http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/news/sto ... 3A27%3A860
  8. Wow! Live traffic update - thanks Ian
  9. If anyone gets an update on the roads around GY later in the day I would appreciate knowing. Looking to get to Kiki at Burgh Castle this evening and with a circa 4 hour journey would like to know if there is a route in.
  10. EA Report a 'cautious' the worst may have now passed. It will depend on how well the water 'gets away' after HW this morning as to how tonight fares
  11. Water reported 'topping' over around Star Hotel/Haven Bridge. Sea has breached at Mundesley about 8ft section Water at Reedham 7 inches below top of the flood defence walls
  12. Lowestoft Harbour from RNSYC http://www.rnsyc.org.uk/netcam.htm Levels well up the walls, berth holders will be thankful for floating pontoons
  13. Dave Dick; yes you were way ahead of the national forecasts - thanks and keep them coming
  14. Wind looks to still be from NW tonight, tomorrow average wind speed 30 -35 mph. Wave direction at Lowestoft coming from NW to more north, wave height peaking at 15ft mid day Friday. Not a day to be having a jaunt out to sea. (info courtesy of Wind Guru) Inshore forecast: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/mar ... ll&x=9&y=6
  15. Ian You haven't succumbed to heating have you
  16. Keith This is quite an in depth resource I often use. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/ Have a look at the subjects in the bar up the side, masses of information reviews opinions. I have been a Canon user since the days of film and due to having Canon SLR Lenses have stayed with them with as Brian a 4 year old 10D. Great product but not something you can't put in your pocket (not with the motor drive anyway). Keep thinking about upgrading it but the quality is still good. It is not just the camera but the lens's of an SLR that make the difference. You can have the best SLR in the world but poor lenses =- poor result. Quality in quality out is the key. I find in addition I use a good quality 'point & squirt' for everyday snaps and that seems to get increasing use for everyday. As ever it depends on the end use. No substitute for SLR flexibility or quality if you want the very best results.
  17. My only thought for those in the north is that Lodden, Beccles & Oulton are all quite a trek, unless over a holiday weekend
