  1. Thanks David, That is very useful I'll have a check when she is out of the water.
  2. Thanks for that superb resume David, much appreciated. On the basis of your explanation even I feel able to tackle this job Will get the bits together and give it a whirl. Presumably JPC will be the place for the silencer and clamps
  3. Kiki will be our of the water for 5 weeks or so giving me some chance to catch up with a few jobs (already limbering up my polishing arm!) I would like to fit some further anodes for extra protection. She has them fitted in the normal spots but where are the best places to add additional ones? (clean answers please )
  4. From one of the 'Sea Toilets' on Traditional Broads Yachts - possibly
  5. One in the Car Park of the New Inn Horning
  6. The boat was called Lady Beryl according to this article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/mai ... eryl19.xml

    Boat Names

Ours is named in memory of Tina's brother. The little chap had learning disabilities but we did all we could to make his life as good as we could. The highlight for him was when we arranged for him to open Disney's Magic Kingdom. Although 40 he had the mind of someone much younger but was as with many people of his ilk was a real happy soul. Sadly he died 2 years ago. He could not pronounce Tina's name properly (who he idolised) but his pet name for her was Kiki which he could say. It seemed very fitting to name our ship in his memory. Rest in peace little man
  8. Its not too bad to view Keith particularly if you enlarge the image when viewing. Nice moody shot
  9. Jonny, David will be able to advise you better than I but these have a good reputation http://www.pelapumps.co.uk/default.aspx?orig=ga You need to run the engine first to make the Oil as viscous as possible. The extraction is via the Dipstick vent and is extracted via suction. You can get an electric version but would suggest that the manual type represent good value for money
  10. They will sometimes do a deal on a week at some marina's David had a canny knack of being able to negotiate one on our behalf's.
  11. Ian yes; mooring fees were incurred but that is part of coastal cruising there is also the logistics of getting back to wherever cars are left. See below for a guide to costs most are in this ball park http://www.eastcoastmarinas.co.uk/pdfs/ ... fees07.pdf
  12. I only took photo's when the weather was good
  13. Some photo's here of of the said trip. http://flickr.com/photos/7636051@N02/sh ... 031886033/
  14. Our electric one does the same Ian. But the best Electric Lavvy I have seen is on Tamara you have a menu of flushes; I kid you not. This gives the option of leaving water in the bowl or not, I suppose water in the bowl is not a good idea on a heeling yacht.
