  1. 650xs. Since you and many other forum members give me the impression that only wooden boats are 'real' ones, then you should all look at item 181301050258 on e bay. I suppose a few days work and she would be back in the water?!! Regards Alan
  2. Have you got him that pint yet! I assume that as you are based in Kent that the work is being carried out at a boatyard near you? We also live in Kent and its exactly 166 miles door to door but more than worth it when we get there! Regards Alan
  3. I assume the 'photo taken on 27th December was of Dave? He looks like he could do with a couple of pints after all his hard work! I am enjoying this. Keep up the good work! Regards Alan
  4. I totally agree and belong to both forums and enjoy most of the contents of both and hope they get up and running again soon. Regards Alan.
  5. 650xs. Do you think thats why it was still pretty good after 4 years!!!??? Must have been when we were going accross Breydon!
  6. Thanks to both of you for replying to my original posting, all points have 'been taken on board'. Just got to hope for some reasonable weekend weather so we can make a start (live in Folkestone so quite a journey) and also the pub at St Olaves where she is out the water, seems to draw on us somewhat!! Regards Alan
  7. mbird-Thanks for that-if it was good enough for you, it will do for me! I will prepare and paint up to the water line so it looks the part and as the existing below the water is still very good despite being on there for four years-will touch up where neccessary to save on 'beer tokens'. Regards Alan
  8. Advice please! The boat is now out of the water for the winter and the 'to do' jobs will start when (if?) the weather improves. Last on the list will be to re anti foul and I would like some advice on what type is reccomended for the 'Broads'. She is moored at Beccles and the only time she goes near salt water now is when we go across Breydon to visit the North! Any thoughts will be very welcome. Regards Alan
  9. A shiver went down my back when I saw the 'photo-good job we have taken the boat out of the water this winter, I really think I am too old now for winter cruising! Roll on the Spring-We can't wait. Alan and Eve
  10. I keep getting these e mails, both from the 'Royal Mail' and 'Barclays' and I am so pleased that these threads have been made to prove these are scams. Alan
