I am glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Questions that i thought would puzzle people seemed to get answers rather easily whilst a couple i thought were easy resulted in confusing everybody. At least i spared you my usual subjects of Trains, Scouts and Arthur Ransome. Still it is all just good fun. I did not expect to score anything with jeans subjects last week but somehow i managed to win, A year or two back i did the quiz and asked a whole round of questions all in welsh. To my amazement all of the questions found answers.. Would be nice to see a few more people join in on a Friday night. We are all a friendly bunch and it is a nice social chat with the quiz as well. No Prizes. All that happens is the winner has the opportunity of setting the next quiz. This is not compulsary though as if you dont want to do it there will always be volunteers to hand it to. Good fun again last night with a nice turnout of quizers. Very close toward the end and we ended up with a three way tie break to decide the winner. This was Turnour who will be in the chair next Friday. Thanks to all who took part.

I am in the process of installing a security certificate on the new chat URL. This should solve the problem of the security warnings you are getting.

I have moved the chat on to another server where i have downgraded the php version to 7.1 All appears to be working but i may need to spend some time installing a secure certificate for the webpage otherwise some browsers will not allow accces. new url for the chat is http://www.nbnchat.com/chat Please try it and see if it works for you Tell me about any problems

I now have an idea with regard to sorting the problem but cant get at it during the day tomorrow but will have a try in the evening.

There is a serious problem with the chat room. I sorted out th lag problem a couple of days ago by clearing the database. However on logging on to the chat today i got just a blank page. I have found the problem but am not sure how i am going to fix it. The hosting provider has updated PHP version 7 to version 8 which seems to be incompatible with the chat software. Sorry about this but i will try to solve the problem and will keep you posted. Hopefully may be in time for friday but depends on all sorts of factors.

Thanks BT that is why I was there last night. Normally I am too tired on Friday to take part in the quiz. However I felt I had to be there last night because of Mike. Met him a few times over the last 20 years and will miss him very much.

So sorry i was unable to stay for the whole quiz last night. Well done TH and thankyou Bern for an excellent quiz.

Really do not know what to say. This is such a shock as obviously i was unaware of his cancer, All i can say is that my thoughts and prayers are with Pat and Mikes family. God Bless you Mike you will be greatly missed.

Sorry I did not make it last night, Unfortunately I was just too tired. Hopefully I can make it next week if I am fit enough. Well done to Mike for wining this week.
