I went to do a job in Grantchester, Cambridgeshire in November and they were filming another series at the time with a lot of the locals involved, that is until one of them cane down Covid and they had to stop until all was clear.

Looks too cheap Clive
put your hire boats up a bit and put your mooring down that’s a great idea for a Friday 😀😀😂

Leaks every were, we have 3 sets of temp lights within 1/2 mile on Norwich road Salhouse.

Looks very quiet there John

It can be a bit dodgy at times around there but mainly the speeds are low so as not to to too much damage. Now getting hit full on at Stokesby at full speed with the tide behind them which nearly put our boat on the bank has put us off mooring there for life.

Wouldn’t go down the formica route for that job with its serious razor like edges as still got the scars from my apprentice shop fitting days !

That’s the point Ian I am at home haven’t left Norfolk all year !
Was it only a few weeks ago people from London were touring all over Norfolk ! That’s when people should have stayed at home.

I know this has been done many times but can someone me one clarify the correct information regarding boat usage in our new tier 4 in Norfolk.
I have just looked on the BA website and it still states no overnight stays (is this old information ?) , but on my morning walk around Salhouse broad early doors there are hire boats around also wild swimming taking place!
I know and quite rightly they don’t want the area flooded with people from all over for obvious reasons but as we live 10 minutes from our boat some sense is needed.

Having seen Swiftway at the boat yard earlier in the week I would defiantly recommend her if you are looking for this size of boat, you won’t be disappointed.

2 new cars on the little plumstead roundabout last week.
Definaltly a full time job for a team re fitting signage. I guess the car insurance companies will have to pay.

Oh new signs I wonder if they have made the writing bigger as some people can’t read 24HRS MOORING ONLY and STERN ON ONLY

Also traffic lights on the Wroxham to Salhouse road as they are extending the roadside path. So 3 x temp lights getting home from work in 3 miles😂

You don’t want to be in there anyway as I’m lead to believe there is a Yorkshire man that thinks he is a comedian frequenting the place 😂

Have you got a mooring at Stalham or Horning ?

We should have been on that boat at the beginning of October but it was cancelled due to strong streaming.

Fresh water flush every time after having the last 2 boats river water flush. Our current boat has a huge water tank and was built with fresh flush so may not work successfully with a smaller tank or retro fit.
I know when we have been out with our daughter when they have hired a broom 30 (fresh water flush) they had to fill up a lot more than us.

The weather has been great in Norfolk since the lockdown started on Thursday. Really nice boating weather 😉

So Smoggy out of Yarmouth what’s the rough mileage to Wells and is it doable at 10kts bearing in mind there is a limited time either side of high water in one hit as I guess there’s no place in between.
