We are indeed. Our son’s wedding was a great day. Now I have another week of being a tourist in Sydney. Will write some stuff up at some point when I’m back. I’m keeping a note of where we’ve been.

Wow Sam! Sorry to see you're selling. Looks like a great boat, well loved and well looked after. You had mentioned a few times about considering whether you were going to keep boating here in Norfolk. Hope you get what you're looking for without it dragging out too long.

Hope you enjoy your time afloat Kate. There's rarely anyone at the Viaduct moorings at this time of year, just a few "regulars" who tend to stay at the stern on moorings. Not that they're doing anyone any harm with so few boats out and even less getting through the bridge probably.
The problem of holes along by the mooring posts on that stretch seems to happen every year.

Thanks for the update Ian. I hope the treatment brings the results you need. Sending festive best wishes to you and Marina for the next few weeks.

We do like to support local businesses where we can. We shop quite a lot at Roys … both sides of the road 🤭 … and also over at Meale’s farm shop where of course we usually end up in Vera’s coffee shop as well.
Friday evening we had an excellent meal at the Granary at Ranworth. They’re serving their Christmas set price menu now on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings as far as I know. It was well worth it. Lovely food and friendly service. 🎄

the day I can't drink in a pub I'll give up!!!!
Interesting the different perspectives. We like a meal out at lunchtime if we happen to be moored somewhere close by. But otherwise the pubs make no difference to us and are not what we’re looking for.

Wow! A trip on the train it is then. Hope Cromer doesn't disappoint this time round.

I will be out and unable to join this week. In fact I'm likely to be missing for a while until January as I have a number of things going on over the rest of the month.
So if I don't get back into the quiz this side of Christmas I would like to wish all the Friday Friends a lovely festive time.

Is it ever going to stop raining?
That is indeed the question. Another dark wet chilly morning here. Hope you have a lovely day wherever it takes you.

Great to see you back Mr and Mrs Nog. Beware Wroxham is still a bit flooded in places, including by NBD's yard and car park if you venture in there. But I'm sure that you'll have a great time anyway.

Thank you Monica for starting this topic. I do like a little window on the weather in different places. Just frosty this morning for me. Happy to have an indoors kind of day. 🥶😀

Problems at Pakefield too, just south of Lowestoft. Caravan site evacuated. Road and cliff edge lost unexpectedly. And caravans left right on the edge. There must be parts of that site that won’t be able to be used again and need clearing.
And it exposed an unexploded bomb.

Wonderful write up and photos. We often wish we had more than an hourly train into Norwich from Hoveton and Wroxham. I don't know if it was ever more frequent in the days before the pandemic given how services have adjusted since then.
You certainly made good use of Ranworth. It's so relaxing when it's quiet there.

Looks like it was a lovely day out Ian. So glad you had a nice time. It’s an enjoyable drive across Norfolk to Sandringham from here.

That sounds very sensible Helen. What a great place to be holed up. We spent the Monday and Thursday nights there when we were out on Rose Emblem this time last year.
