  1. We’ve just bought one. I’m assuming type A and B leases have the same criteria but I don’t know that. They are holiday homes and the lease says they shouldn’t be your main home. You can stay overnight in them for 50 weeks a year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This is what person thinks: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ah ok, so they’re going to close the pullin loop? I’ve not heard that. I’ll post that on a residents FB group I’m in and see if anyone knows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Is there one in Potter itself or do you mean the one half a mile downstream at Repps? I know the one at Repps is going to temporarily lose vehicular access whilst some work is done on the dyke bridge around March time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. And a cravat? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I think the improvements in H&S a few years ago were great. But now we’ve switched more into a**e covering mode in my opinion. It’s no longer about avoiding accidents, it’s about avoiding blame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ve never heard of that one! Sounds interesting. Are there other well kept secret boat shows? Is it worth a dedicated thread? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think this is bullying now [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. And they all try and sound like Dick van Dyke. To be fair I’m pretty negative about every city I’ve ever been to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I’ve done the Southampton show a few times but always avoided the London one (mainly because I don’t like London much). But I think you lot have convinced me to try London next year. Thank you (genuinely). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The implication being careful boaters can speed? [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I can be hired for that [emoji57] I think your point about a speed limit on Breydon being a bad thing is absolutely right. That would impact on more than one business significantly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ah but when you’re blocking a motorway lane by trying to cut in at the last possible place indicating makes it safe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. To be fair, they indicate a lot. Generally as they cut in at the front of a queue [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Personally I wouldn’t be comfortable with any boat without all round visibility. Don’t like surprises and as a biker I assume everyone is trying to kill me in some devious way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ah CEVNI (EuroRegs) is inland waterways SOLAS is at sea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I get that the Broads regs take precedence on the Broads but where does SOLAS fit in with EuroRegs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I think you’re right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Me too. The ranger told me it’s different rules on rivers to open waters. I think he was wrong now. But he did seem pretty sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That’s what I think the RYA says and what the link above says. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hmm, thanks for that. It doesn’t specifically say either side is ok but nor does it say you must overtake to port. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Now I’ve always thought that it’s ok to pass either side of another boat when overtaking (because I think that’s what the RYA says). But I was told by a Broads ranger that I should only pass to port on the Broads. Any opinions or facts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Phew, I’ll tell him [emoji57] That was certainly what I think I was told by the rangers (speed is fine but we expect you to pass other boats slowly when not towing) but that article worried me that it seemed to be more about the speed than anything else. Compounded by the head ranger saying it’s a lesson for speeders. That’s reminded me of something else but I’ll start another thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Do we know anymore? There has to be more to it than just speed doesn’t there? I have a friend ([emoji57]) that’s done 45 knots across Breydon but not when other boats are around. Is he risking prosecution? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
