  1. Much like the motorway protesters.
  2. Do they expect that though or is it a case of applying pressure to focus minds.
  3. When such protesters have reached court in the past some do turn out to be professionals and even sons and daughters of the upper class.
  4. Wouldnt call it a tax, more of a burden for a captive market. Savy folk plan ahead and find a place a few miles off a motorway to refuel the car and themself at better prices. There is a website just for this.
  5. If I hire a car for a week the oil use is incuded. Sounds as if customers were being ripped off back then.
  6. Time to move on then if they are being unhelpful to long standing customers such as MS.
  7. Say again, would have thougt these were factored in to the cost of hiring for a week.
  8. No! Let it run. The mods as we have seen have the button to pull any post that step over the line as I do on another forum.
  9. I`ll have a pint of bitter with you, thanks Then we could talk about Murphys Law, the one that says if it will go wrong it will go wrong at the worst possible moment.
  10. Pretty sure he has with a spreadsheet in a previous thread.
  11. Did you borrow that from Piston Heads?
  12. Well if one must do it in plastic tongue and groove there are thicker HD versions and I like the wooden ceilings and floors as found on many canal boats however I doubt the wood came from any diy shed.
  13. Hope its not the cheap thin plastic tongue and groove that flexe`s when you apply finger pressure.
  14. But I do what their purpose is Vaughan, whatever gave you reason to think I didnt.
  15. In no way, shape or form can my quoted post be seen as trolling!
  16. Well I know it wasnt exactly the 15th century but it was some time ago wasnt it? Time and things do change after all.
  17. Was there even flame outs back in the days when Vaughan ran a yard?
  18. Thought I heard/ read about a holding yard at Thorpe area.
  19. Where do boats go, as in is there a scrap yard as such?
  20. My current item still works but has a crack, it is no longer made and the current model costs £100 and is slightly bigger so alterations would need to be made. I once found a brand new one online in Holland right at the start of Brexit for £60 and the seller refused to send it here and refunded the money instead. Now it may turn out to be turnip but for the cost of a pint of beer I took the gamble. Oh, I also brought a length of rope for a £1. Sometimes it pays to look scruffy when buying.
  21. On the other side of the coin sometimes, just sometimes lying amongst the junk is a diamond find as I found out today.
  22. Hearing it will be known as The Heron by new comers and The Yare by old timers.
  23. A little more said about the plans, not a high end yacht club, to be pub resturant searving breakfast, lunch and evening meals. https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/business/broom-boats-reveals-carbon-neutral-plan-8788998
  24. They are always quick to pass on any increase but slow to pass on reductions.
