Having been cut up once too often at the weekend on the NDR ( it was also the V sign out the window when I leant on the horn ) I now have a dash cam.
The next one who does it will have their details forwarded to the Police
Some forces have a webpage where you can send the footage to them, then they view it and send a letter to the vehicle owner if they deem the incident warrants it.

If only there was some sort of UK Government website instead....
That is all well and good but when it uses the word "may" as in may qualify and many people wrongly believe that their van is car derived because schedule 6 say`s a lot without helping at all it is there in black and white on the logbook.
-
Around 4 lines down on left hand side on the logbook is class of the vehicle, think vans are either M4 or N4 and from this you can Google speed limits.

Yep it turns out the system didn`t like the space bar lol
Pumpmedic now renamed as OldBerkshireBoy, thanks to all.

Thanks
I'll try again later when I'm back.

Hi, Is there such a list anywhere? I`m looking to change mine and when I type in the new username I get a message "That value is not allowed" which I`m thinking indicates the name is already in use but I am only guessing.

5/8" unf is 18 tpi, 28 isn`t a typo is it?

And a non-running engine??? Will only attract liveaboards in that sort of condition.
It got the boat to the marina 5yrs ago but hasn`t been run since and the lady knows nothing more about it.

Lots of not very brilliant DIY tongue and groove timber work too, I reckon that she's grossly overpriced by Broads standards.
It does come with the moorings in the marina.

Yep, same boat but now bit cheaper and with a broker.

I see that the Brighton one is under offer. Load of dosh!
The Yellow one? Was a private sale when I saw the advert. Gumtree or Preloved I believe.
-
Shame I can`t simply click on that link and be redirected.

Having looked at a number of Bounty 35/37ft boats recently I can say almost no two boats are the same internally, don't know if this helps you or not lol.
And welcome to the forum. Is it the one in Brighton that hasn't moved for 5yrs?

I wasn`t sure if the link showing the gasket was the correct joint that you were talking about however I doubt lapping it will cure the leak. As you say heat and lack of it causes plastic to distort plus most plastics age harden.
Once worked for a pump manufacture who had a 300% mark up on aftersale parts so see what you`re saying there.

Thanks Pumpy....I have heard of them and have a lovely 12v led table lamp on the boat after buying an expensive lamp from them, expensive but worth it if you see what I mean.
It does seem they have the size I need, but £29 each .....I need 4.....£116 to solve a problem which doesn't really exist.
More carrots Mrs W.
PM me a phone number, I`m going to Crick boat show at the end of May so I`ll see if they are doing a special show price for you.

Following on from the Semi-Liveaboard thread I have started to look at adverts to give me an idea of the market. I'm trying to come up with a list of things that are essential i.e.already fitted (and working) or need to be before we start using it and another that are desirable or can be fitted later. This will allow me to find rough prices for getting stuff installed and make it easier to compare prices properly.
I'm not including the basics, watertight hull, engine, gearbox, fenders etc.
Diesel gauge (can these be retro fitted?. Using a dipstick drives me insane)
But as somebody pointed out to me today, length of wood marked full, half & quarter with a cable tie attached through a hole at the top can be left inside the tank just below the filler cap and any diesel bug will show up as a gel on the stick!

https://www.screwfix.com/p/fernox-ls-x-leak-sealer-50ml/23614
I have used this product for years (Screwfix, Toolstation, B&Q, Homebase etc) on pumps and other water compression joints.
NB It is a clear silicone not a paste as described!

Have to say that I`m impressed with what you guys got done based on what I saw Thursday when I popped in, it looked like organised chaos then hence I thought it best not to hang around. Next time I`ll come prepared to paint something or sweep up.

Dropped in on them Thursday just to say Hi, put faces to names and have a nosey, didn`t stay long as everybody was busy busy with wood, cables or copper pipes.

Perhaps I read too much into photos, but this looks a little strange to me.
A total lack of company logos or boat names on the cabin sides and there are no Broads numbers on the bows. One would hardly know that they were hire boats.
Waiting for new graphics?

I used to do around 200 miles a day as part of my job, I`ve been through the leaning on the horn button and the finger waving phase but since having a 10" knife waved infront of my face I now record on the dash cam and mutter "x*#*!!!" then calmly carry on to my destination. It is better for my blood pressure as well
