  1. Hi,

Was enquireing about buying a mooring this week and one thing that was mentioned was "As the owner you would be responsible for dredging the mooring".

So the question is, is this correct and how easy/ hard is it too do or find somebody to do it?

In my day it was Triumph Bonnevilles and Norton Commandos that were king of the North Circular.

That is until the best of both worlds....Triton

Norton featherbed frame fitted with a Bonneville power unit mated to a close ratio Norton Manx gearbox.

On that note anybody dropped into the Ace cafe recently? Still pulls a full carpark over the weekends.

The Hains 32 is a lovely boat, very well fitted out  but it’s a little small in length and width and with a £250k price tag much prefer the 35 Hull Hains, Broom, Westwood.

A low hours 5 to 10 year old example for half the above cost would be my bet.

Ive never bought an ex hire boat preferring low hours private but can see the attraction with a well maintained example from the likes a Richadsons but would stay well away from the likes of the recent old alpha models.

Know I`m a bit late to the party but why stay away from the likes of recent old alpha`s? And would you say the same about a 1991 Aquafibre such as Reflecting Light?

Ah my old BMW R80RS was a good bike for distances, after 8 hours riding you could still walk. (and it was no slouch covering a lot of distance in those 8 hours either)

Below 40mph they were terrible things and for distance with comfort and speed I`ll take my old Kawasaki GPz900r.

  5. During my travels around boat yards looking for a boat I`ve seen many stripped out internally so why is there no insulation added. Steel canal boats can have spray foam insulation or even foam(?) panels stuck on so why not fibreglass boats?

    Thanks

The videos are available to watch, as are ones from the BA. I do wonder, however, how many people actually bother to view them.

If somebody would be kind enough to put a link up I for one will watch them - Promise.

    Thanks in advance.
