Thanks all for the kind words - I've had a lot of words thrown my way doing this job but 'god-like' is certainly a new one :default_biggrin:

    Stay safe,

    Tom

Perhaps the use of the word "Authority" may be a step too far for me on this site and I presume for others aswell.

I believe that people will tend to like you for what you are and not what you say!

Bud for me is like drinking water. Perhaps you need to try Stella or a good Norfolk Ale!

  3. I have to say though that with 80 odd posts and 550 odd likes, BroadsAuthority is a God on here! :default_biggrin:

Personally I think they should be on here for info only, and not a popularity thing!!

I'm more than happy to like an individual on this forum, but when it comes to a authority that we all have to adhere to, for me it seems like we are liking for the wrong reason.

If you think I am wrong, then I am up for criticism:default_hiding:

    True story:

A friend of mine gave the same reply a couple of years ago, one day  a couple of weeks later at around 3-am he got a phone call and the voice on the other end said in a laughing tone of voice " haha now you F off!"

Lucky for me it's my business line answering machine and I am able to switch the ringer off between 22.30 to 07.00 :default_biggrin:

  5. I'm sorry to have a rant on this tonight, but I knew this was going to happen. It seems that if I have read this right, there has been a surge according to some newspapers of out of date food being discarded. There are alot of stupid people out there that have been bulk buying through of fear, then dumping because it is out of date. These people are not only stupid, selfish and seem to have money to waste.

But then you get people who applaud the unsung heroes and those who go out of their way to help others and go that extra mile to do good for other people in life.

Along with certain people who think it is fun to cough over supermarket food or OAP's, use the CV for their own gain in scams, I'm lost with the lack of IQ and integrity with some people.

At the moment my faith in humanity is in the middle of the road!

  6. I must sat that I know that the BA do get slanted on here for good and bad, but I hope that they can go to sleep at night knowing that their work of what they do goes for the benefit of the Broads, and not for their bank balance!

Hmmm?  Wonder if I could get away with that one,  I have a floor to tile round the corner - I'll ask them - Maybe

    Griff

I'm sure Griff you could easily carry out your work without getting too close to your employer as like me, we work alone and can regulate our personal contact with others.

It looks like my secret bid for a weekend on BA might look quite appealing right now!

Please note, face masks will be supplied for the 2 metre rule by me.

Have you a photo to share as well Upcycler, all pets we have known and loved are welcome here. 🐾

I have an Irish Staffy who is 12 years of age, I haven't done this for a while but I will try and get some photos done and post them on the NBN. If I have any problems I'm sure there would be a few tech people on here who would help me out. Hopefully!!!!!!!!

    Heyup Sithee,

I have just donated £10 via paypal to the forum funds on behalf of Wherrynice.

I don't think I purchased any NBN stickers, but if I inadvertently did so, please don't send them to me. (Already have them)

    Thanks,

    Griff

Well if it ever comes to it Griff and you do a secret bid so that the winner wins a weekend on BA, and the winning bid goes either to the Network, Charity, Yorkshire tea and shotgun cartridge fund, I'm in.

Day Three - Womack Water to Sutton

On waking and looking out quite early I found that the weather forecast had been correct, the clouds had cleared and the view was amazing. We got our skates on with breakfast and left the mooring by 8am. I love an early morning cruise back down Womack Dyke and down the Thurne. As the hose wasn't out yet at Womack Water and we weren't entirely sure of our destination we stopped at Ludham Bridge to fill up the water.

When hiring from Stalham we have a tendency to only go up and down the Ant for picking up and returning the boat as opposed to making it a destination. Given that we didn't manage to do the Ant at all last October we therefore decided to give it more time. Made it up to Sutton by around 11 and were the first boat to arrive so got a nice spot by the water and electric post. Lunch was in the Sutton Staithe Hotel, Mr SR spent a few hours fishing and I just chilled on the boat for most of the day.

Lovely photos and please, what with all the doom and gloom that seems to be constantly repeated on the news recently, hopefully this website can get back on track and produce more photos like this for the reason why we are here in the first place.
