  1. Indeed, no speed limit on Breydon. Just think in winter they don't have much to do so might want to check what we're up to Been taking it very steady all week though, it's amazing how much fuel you save

  3. Hi M Breydon was quite calm really, southerly wind possibly. No issues, all went very smoothly. Didn't stop for water at Stracey as fairly full but worth noting. Now dropped anchor
  4. Safely through Great Yarmouth Passed a Ranger on Breydon but he didn't bother us. Sharp eyed Mrs Nog spotted a water point at the Stracey Arms Mill, pay at shop. Wondered if it's new or just never seen it before.

  6. Looks like he was there from mid 50's right up to early 70's. Steward and Patteson pub but would have been taken over by the nasty Watneys.
  7. Couldn't agree more. I think (could be wrong) that it's a Punch pub. I guess the rent will be eye watering. Not so bad in summer but must be a real struggle in winter.
  8. Ha ha! Don't like to waste valuable drinking time eating so not this time but maybe for Mrs Nog's birthday. Also top marks to the Ship for not booting us out early. Most enjoyable evening with Little Sharpie and Mrs Nog worked the gin shelf. Excellent pub

  10. Hi Helen it's at Strumpshaw just east of Brundall. Good pub with excellent beer. I'm told the food is very high quality but not cheap. Well worth a visit.

  13. Bit better in White Horse and Mrs N continuing her support of the local gin industry
  14. Not very impressed with the beer choice in the Swan but Mrs Nog lapped up the local gin
  15. Delighted all the fishermen at Loddon DTS in the Angel looking hopeful
  16. Tucked up safely at Swancraft and most enjoyable visit to the Shoulder of Mutton and White Heron

  18. Fair flew down the Waveney on the ebb. Now moored at Reedham as still ebbing. Ducks enjoying Mrs Nog's corn. DTS to come
  19. Yep, still raining!!!! Thought I saw someone scuttling down the pontoon but didn't get chance to wave!

  22. Ha ha! Thought we might have gone in-noticed!! We always ring ahead to OBYS more out of courtesy really so the guys know to expect us. They're always really helpful and even got an extension hose for us as one of the taps isn't working, now I know who broke it Yes, Beccles on train and friends very kindly gave us a lift to the excellent Green Dragon in Bungay and of course the excellent Caxton Club. So all in all a very enjoyable day hence the quiet at Nog Towers. Early start again today as we head up the Yare. Is it ever going to stop raining?
