  1. I prefer Firefox, much easier to use than IE, cuts down the pop up adverts to virtually nil, certainly recommend.
  2. I too am interested in looking at wind power to keep batteries charged but have not had a lot of luck finding sites, anybody know any links?
  3. I think the shop at Womack was run by Mrs Gollinge. I think the family also ran the boat yard, Womack Boats. Had a boat from there in 1972, Sachina, we set off with a small tool kit and a spare spark plug from the yard, Sachina had a two stroke engine that kept oiling up and we had to regularly change the plug mid river! 4. Thanks Ian, presumably if it is switched off it will be OK and not draining the batteries, will have to ensure it is always off when not in use. Ken
  5. I fitted an Inverter last week and according to the instructions it should be placed as close to the battery as possible, so far so good. There are 2 leisure battreries on my boat, and I have connected the inverter to only one of them, + to+ and - to -. Should it be connected to both batteries and if so does anyone know how it should be wired? Will be grateful for any guidance. Ken
