  1. After a lot of reading on here and advise from members we decided to go with Horning Covers and how right you all were, what a fantastic job. they were unsure like us what the finished cover would look like as they have not done one quite like this before. with front and rear sections, roll up sides and back, and with roll up doors. its massive and has now given us a new room on the boat and weatherproof. thank you all for your advise.
  2. Tim Waters did our BSS and I can highly recommend him, at £110 for the test and no charge for the retest.
  3. Finaly after a bit of work we now have our BSC in place so with this, yesterday we went to Yare House to register and tax the boat for 1st of April. after parting with a load of dosh this very nice man told us "dont wait until the 1st you can join the system as soon as your boat is ready. What a nice man and not what i was expecting after reading other forums. so, we will be crusing in the next few days if you see us give us a wave. looking forward to meeting with you all sooner or later.

  6. Well, what a couple of weeks. boat arrived on the 30th in a very sorry state, took 3 days to dry it out the 300 mile journey took its toll. but its here and now we look forward to the spring and beyond.
  7. just going to chill out and enjoy retirement, not a business but if we can earn a bit on the side, so be it. got lots of work to do on the site yet but it will be more of a log book than anything. pic's will follow.
  8. Finaly we have a date. our new pride and joy will be lifted into Brooms on the 30th am. 3 years of planing finaly coming together, cant wait.

  11. Where are you hoping to moor, GR? A good way to start meeting new folk would be to come to the Spring Meet over the Easter Weekend at Oulton Broad! (See seperate thread).

  13. if everything goes as planed will be moveing our boat up to the broads in January, so hopefully make new friends and meet new people. see you on the water.
