Stalham To The Bure - How Far?

Anyone know this? Roughly using a ruler and google maps it looks to be about 11 miles?

The chart I use for tide times and distances says:

Stalham dyke to Ant mouth is 6.3 miles and takes 2 hours

I normally log 7 miles from Broadsedge, just under 2 hours in summer faster in winter as no hold ups behind the 3mph novice out of Richos.

Just mapped it on Geodistance.com and it is 6.95 from Richo's to The Bure. The Ant is 4mph, and across Barton 5mph, so probably around the 1hr 40min mark.

Off course they may also be seasoned pro's who are just glad to be on a boat again and happy to take in their surroundings. Remember speed limits are the maximum speed, not a target to aim for. As a privateer of 12 years you are still likely to find me doing 3mph on The Ant. For me the journey from A to B, isn't just about getting there, it's about enjoying the journey and taking in the surroundings on route.  Easier to spot the Kingfisher's on The Ant at 2.5 - 3mph.

This is likely to be me... Never get to be on the Broads for leisure purposes and finally convinced the wife to do a long weekend on the wet stuff.

will be off season So would hopefully make it to Wrexham on the first day in that case!!

Wrexham is probably going to be a bit difficult given that it is 250 miles or so!

Fine if you come in at 8 tonnes. Not so good if you are 1 tonne  with a 40mph cross gust. If you wish to go slow remember some can't go that slow in a blow. Let us through please.

Sorry I don't understand this? If there are 40mph gusts around I might also be cruising differently, but until then  your more than welcome to overtake when it is safe to do so  Like I say limits, not targets.
