Rivers Very High

Just had to go and slacken ropes on boat as water very high at the moment. Right up to top of quay heading at Wroxham. There is a flood warning in place for the Waveny and Yare tonight at Midnight.

Water has been very high in Brundall,  it was dropping a bit when we arrived,  fortunately the new quay headings are higher.  The levels have dropped a little but another high level due at midnight along with below freezing temperatures.  I have adjusted the ropes and fenders,   I am not going out later.

Was high when i arrived but dropping.

Just had a walk round town and called in the Kings Head, (as you must) for tea, lovely chicken caesar salad and a glass of wine, back on boat now and it's already covered in a heavy frost.

Heating on another glass of wine or too then an early night.

Got some work to finish in the morning then it may be a chug to Oulton Broad for the night tomorrow.

It has been very high for a few days. The salt barrier into the Herbert Woods marina has been closed for quite a few days. Since Christmas eve it has been really high on the chart, but just this afternoon it has gone lower than predicted. I went to Brundall this morning, and Riverside road was flooded in a few places.

Just looking on the ENV Agency Anglia twitter page, and it says the the barrier at HW, will be lowered on Wednesday.
 So it looks like the tides are going back to normal.

It's certainly been high at Oulton Broad with fairly minor flooding but thankfully the wind has dropped off. My problem is that I am now the proud possessor of a hefty load of reeds and debris that has floated over the end of my garden. I feel a big bonfire coming on!

I thought I would nip down and check the mooring ropes too, but remembered it was out of the water this year!!

Now - did I leave the mudweight down just in case.....!!
