A Little Something I Knocked Up Earlier

One of the dishes I cooked this evening,at present I am working in one of the world's top Investment  Banks.In the city of London.This was served in the staff restaurant. Savoyarde potatoes, baked in the oven with stock butter onions and cheese,corn fed chicken a cream and mushroom  sauce.Crispy kale and oven dried cherry tomatoes. Give it a go mind you takes about three hours cooking all the ingredients.

I worked for BT (previously PO, previously GPO). Our staff canteens could just about manage bangers and mash, or egg and chips - on a good day. How the other half live.

For perhaps half my working life I cooked for directors, many years also staff restaurants.now we are in the same market as big chains,we provide a good choice and bring in high street chains as pop ups.We provide food for everyone.

Looks very appetising,   well done.     Certainly took a lot of expertise to prepare and cook.       

 

Looking at the ingredients ,   that would cost an arm and a leg to purchase all the elements.

I suspect there is still a GP of around 75 -85% in it, our local ‘foodie’ pub still works to around 75% average. Whilst a lovely looking dish, the only element with any significant cost attached is the chicken. 

Looks fantastic though, aside from the mushrooms which are Satan’s own work...
