Have never seen one on a boat, better to go for gas. There are many good two, three, four ring burners and good ovens There are indeed but a single induction hob a) would not take up much room to store b) would make cooking much quicker and c) would save gas (not from a penny pinching point of view but from a practical point of view). I think I am talking myself into one although the pots and pans I have on the boat wouldn’t be suitable so perhaps not. I think if you have never used induction you probably wouldn’t appreciate the benefits.
Chelsea14Ian
Sorry but as a chef I have used them many times and I would not swap them for gas.Yes many pots and pans are not suitable for induction hobs.

We will agree to disagree no doubt. You speak as a chef and I speak as a cook. As long as our meals turn out how we want them to, that’s what matters. Polly
We have an induction hob tucked away on Brilliant in addition to a gas cooker. i use it when on shore power and prefer it to the gas hob. Why? 1 it's safer 2 it's cleaner 3 it's in a better place, Brilliant was designed for cooking in the cockpit, being a Broads Classic Saily, so the later addition of the cooker midships isn't as effective for work flow. The hob comes out and sits on a cockpit locker top.
