JawsOrca
A couple of pictures from a slow paddle around the bungay loop yesterday. Very pretty and an easy paddle. My phone seems to have a quirk that it takes some nice pictures.. certainly no skill on my part as I could barely see the screen. JanetAnne
Some friends of mine decided to paddle the Bungay 'loop' when it was suggested by the lady running the campsite (Outney Meadows?). Anyway, they took some honey and plenty of money etc etc and set off expecting to arrive from.the other direction in an hour or two. About four hours later and having had to carry their canoes over some quite shallow bits they asked a fisherman how much further it was. He carefully explained, whilst wiping tears of laughter from his face, that the loop was not quite a loop.and they were now just over a mile past Harleston! They arrived back in the dark, tired hungry and somewhat fitter!
SwanR
That looks really lovely. Simon A Bloke In The Woods has covered parts of the Waveney in some of the earlier videos on his YouTube channel.

Whoops lol, I think the two bridges mark the loop, we didn't quite make it all the way as we was just floating there really and time was getting on, didnee help we have to go home still :( The camp site there do hire canoes, it look a good site from the river. 4 hours ago, SwanR said: That looks really lovely. I think simon lives that was as he's always pottering around this bit (I found his secret island, it's quite a way upstream though.. very good videos though.. Shame he's not a member on here would be an asset to the forum.
SwanR
Ah ... he does seem to have a few secret places. I think he lives somewhere near Thetford. It was interesting when he did the video I've highlighted on another topic, that he said he hadn't been to Rockland and Surlingham Broads before. He put in at Bramerton and that was quite a climb back out at a lower state of the tide at the end of his day.

On the list to do "soon".. hopefully. Anyone following: here's simons channel: He does some amazing bushcraft & canoeing..
