It would seem maycraft now have 2 mayfairs. I remember seeing one moored outside there sheds earlier this year, it was painted grey, I just thought they were repainting the old blue one that been with them for year. Does anyone know if the 2nd one was added this year ?? Always wondered how turnaround day works at maycraft, Kind of a quirky yard just like heart's use to be. But good to see them adding to there rather unique fleet.

Bloody long walk from hw down to the yard, that can't be how they do it though. They must bring the boats up to the public Staithe.

I have a feeling the grey Hampton is a day cruiser. Each time I've seen it there's been a group aboard.

That must be it, the logistics of deliveries etc. must be interesting!

They possibly do let it as a day cruiser, on there website they say cruisers and offer Mon Fri and Sat as start days. So I'm assuming it must be two 🤔

Grey one is a day cruiser. We have hired Mayfair 3 times now. We call when nearly at PH then park on Staith, they will then bring the boat up and you load you stuff onboard. They will then take you over the other side of the road behind the building where you can park your car. They have a permit for you to put in the car. When returning pick them up at  Maycraft and them the reverse at the Staith.

Mayfair has been on my mental " to hire" list for quite a while. I keep being tempted elsewhere but I want to experience that classic design again. The last time I hired one was over 30 years ago. I think I'm right in saying the only Hamptons still on hire are Mayfair and Richardsons' Capri.
