What’s the best way to deal with redundant skin fittings on a wood boat on the underside 

I have a couple and the boat is coming out in March so would be a good time to deal with them

Me I'd..

Remove old fitting,

Remove paint from old plank on the inside either side of hole,

Screw and epoxy a piece across the hole.

Make a plug the correct size for the hole.

Epoxy plug in hole,

 Sand, Fill , paint, as required.

if the woods good put a bung in t ole, if its bad put a new plank in
