Thunder Rolls On

Had an email earlier in the week to say the owner onboard the precious week was leaving early and so she was available earlier than our normal Saturday turnaround. Rude not to but we still had to wait for the kids to finish school which on a Friday includes basketball after school 🙄

Eventually set off at 18:15 and pull into HPC 2 1/2 hrs later. Could have been better.

Unpacked and kettle on by 21:30.

Too busy unpacking to get the best of the sunset 🥲

Up at 7 am Saturday to the walk the dog and went down to Horning Staithe. Plenty of sailboats moored up ready for the 3RR

Given we were originally due to arrive Saturday afternoon we had the Bure Fish Restaurant booked for the evening so decide md on a day trip to Ranworth to climb the Tower.

From the top of the Tower it was quite a sight with probably over 100 sails in sight as they weaved around the river network.

And then it was back to Horning. Opened with Tiger Prawns

Phone signal is pretty rubbish so it is piecemeal updates!

It was a lovely meal 😃

Caught a few of the sailboats returned as we walked back to HPC- (which has pretty much become Syndicate Boat central)

I’d love to visit the fish restaurant in Horning, but I don’t think it’s going to happen somehow. a. We don’t want to leave Seren on the boat by herself and b. my husband is now vegetarian. Shame!

Up at 7am agin with the dog, again down to Horning Staithe where  odd sail boat continued to arrive

The weather did not look the best today so after a bacon sandwich we got in the car and drove out to Cromer where it was a tad breezy.

Had a nice lunch in the cafe above the RNLI museum. Made our way back to the boat via Wroxham where there was only one boat on the moorings beyond the bridge- guess not much is getting under the bridge.

It’s a bright, sunny start to the day and today we are heading up the Ant.

And Barton Broad was looking lovely 

and we headed in over towards Gayes Staithe, with that looking fairly empty we pushed on to Neatishead…

and ending up reversing to the end but we were in for the night 😃

Even stuck up a bit of Jubilee bunting
