Tobster Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 It is being reported that Moss & Co are taking over the Commodore Oulton Broad, again from the first of April 24. lets hope it can go back to how it was before. 1 1 Quote
Meantime Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 It has been pretty dire under Stonegate's management. Will look forward to giving it a try. Quote
CambridgeCabby Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 That’s good news , hope they are up and running by July when I’ll be on the southern rivers Quote

If Moss and Co are moving back in for April, I shouldn't think there will be any period of closure, just a transfer of business and hopefully a welcome change of menu and an improved food offering. 1 Quote
CambridgeCabby Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Was always my favoured hostelry when in Oulton , last time we were there it wasn’t a shadow of its former self and The Wherry and The Waveney got our trade instead Quote
Meantime Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Moss and Co have announced on their Facebook page that they will be back on the 12th April. If they are taking over on the 1st April as per Tobster's first post, that could mean a brief closure whilst they restock etc. I'd advise anyone thinking of visiting before the 12th April to ring ahead and check the situation. 1 Quote
Smoggy Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Any news on the commode at oulton broad (the spelling is deliberate), is it still dog friendly? Is the grub good? Quote
Tobster Posted May 25, 2024 Author Posted May 25, 2024 The food is similar to before under moss and Co, I personally think very good. the pub itself is very busy again especially in good weather 1 Quote
