Marge has just read that it's to close down no volunteer's or customers a shame really as it served Cockshute for those that liked a quiet mooring

Closing the footpath between Cockshoot and the bottom of Ferry Road could not have helped.

Indeed - neither did closing the moorings opposite the Ferry. For both events you can thank those with large pockets!!

Although to be fair, there is not a lot to go over and see - I suppose a few birds hardly make the trip worthwhile, and unless you have a bike, its a long walk to nowhere in particular!

On long light summer evenings, my late wife and I have walked to The Fur and Feather. However even in Summer you could need your seaboots or wellies for the first stretch.

I have cycled down it when its been so hot, the tar has been bubbling!!
