We are regular visitors to the broads in April, for the first time in 10 years we will be boating in August, if we arrive at Beccles on a Sunday night 8 pm ish, what are the chances of getting a mooring spot so late on in the evening ?

To be sure of getting a space you could book a mooring place by calling the chap (think his name is Tim) who looks after the Beccles moorings on 01502 713196.

Quite so, Linny, but Tim finishes at 1900 latest so I don't know if he can do that.

However, if it isn't the Bank Holiday weekend I'd expect you'd find somewhere to fit in, Mark.

Hi Mark,

I would try calling to reserve a mooring, you never know they may do it, they do reserve mooring but as John says that they finish at the latest by 1900 at that time of the year and they usually see you into the mooring. When who ever is on duty they also close the toilets and showers, which are reopened at 0800.

If you arrive late, it ok to pay in the morning.
