Hi again

Thanks for the very kind welcomes...

I owned a Hampton 25 called Layla for a few years then went upmarket to a Broom skipper called Santorini...always been my dream boat.

However house moves and need to fund new kitchens forced sale! However I had many good years as a owner and many before that as a hirer

I live in Colchester so it isn't THAT far away to visit every now and again.

I was a TOWN PLANNER ....ARRRRGH! in real life and still sort of take an interest in what goes on...not sure about the BA "re-branding" the broads as a National Park as technically it isn't one. The lake district seems to manage the balance between the environment and leisure. After all National Parks were originally created for leisure use for the urban masses in "natural " landscapes...of course not that the broads are "natural"!!!

Enough of the planning nonsense!

Will keep any eye on various things as time moves on.

Guess the link between "Layla" and "slowhand" ...easy for those of a certain age
