Lovely article that may help us understand why some run others down rather that building on what is said or putting their own views forward positively.

Loved the bit:

I think that sounds about right. I do think that there is a significant difference, though, between objective criticism and personal criticism. The first can be offered in a spirit of collaboration and effect positive change; the second is usually a bad idea!

Criticism! no I never do that! I don't need to everyone already knows I'm better than them and know everything, I'll tell you straight it's hard work being perfect like me,,
