BroadScot
Hi David, I never push the scottish tourist board on here, would not be right IMHO. However, I do like to share what I see up here when I can. Luss car park was well full today, great to see. I also do not have to pay to park there, with my blue badge. Its just over 45 miles to Balloch, where the first pics were taken, The mountain with the tinge of snow, for those that have never seen it before, is called Ben Lomond, its over 3000 ft and named a Munro. Its another 8miles to Luss. If there are any Take the High Road fans, that is where a fair bit of the outside scenes were shot. Iain.

BroadScot
Hi David, Yes spot on, Mrs Mac. I am sorry, but I could not take the scooter down to the wee shop, that was also used in the series. Looking at the Luss Quay pic, its on the pathway down to the left. BTW there wasn't a midge in sight! They are waiting for the tourist season proper Iain.
Polly
We just got back from a week in the Lake District, which did live up to the term 'magical' I think. The weather was great and the visitor numbers low, so getting about was easier than later in the season will be. We stayed in a Grade 2 mill cottage near Longsleddale...of Postman Pat fame I am told. so we were way off the beaten track, with walks just outside. Newborn black lambs were in the field next door and white ones almost everywhere. There were hosts of yellow flowers, the name of which escapes me... We did get afloat on Ullswater and Windermere so that was the essentials sorted.
