Promoting the forum

During my travels i sometimes meet holiday makers and indeed a few private owners who I think would benefit and appreciate what this particular forum is able to offer.

Sometimes, in conversation there is an opportunity to promote the forum.

Is there a template for example of something say like a card which one could print and pass over to a potential member.

Something simple, like a business card. Detailing the URL, A very brief, introduction as to the Forums purpose, that it is free to join and provides a wealth of knowledge to the newcomer and experienced alike.

Just a thought.

I recently ordered a flag and received several, and a few window stickers.

I would suggest, although it is common courtesy, it is probably best to ask land owners or business' permission before flyering and sticking signs up, I have just had to remove a paper sign stuck to my sign with parcel tape telling my customers we are a member of a Facebook group of which I/ we are not...   I cant imagine the sign being removed when it starts looking rough or anyone sorting the sticky mess when the tape is removed..

 

we also get the odd 'Man in a Van' leaving cards on boats in our marinas, Grrr.
