Some great looking boats!
-
Ahhh yes! Just seen one going across Hickling. Must be wonderfully peaceful up there!
-
Have Matham restarted yet? Not yet seen any around Potter. Haven't seen any hire boats go under yet either but that could just be my timing.
-
Nice to see most of the cameras up and working now although one yard has not yet gor round to firing theirs up again.
The only other one that I would really like to see work again is Martham's three rivers race camera!

Well, seems more twiddling is needed! Won't connect up here!

I suspect the main point here is that, generally, it is accepted that side on moorings are more expensive than stern on. Take Oulton Broad Y S, as an example. Its very clear that there is a different pricing structure depending how you choose to moor. In my own experience it has always been either, or, I cannot recall being charged for the length of my boat on a stern on mooring. I also suspect this might be at a rather popular mooring!

Seems they (and at least one other yard) have let a few boats out today! Sneaky!

Both cameras with a technical hitch at the same time?? Sounds like very bad luck to me!
-
Hmmmm... what do Herbert Woods not want us to see?? They have disabled the pontoon camera and the panning camera is stationary on the bridge!

Apart from the four poster, that is a cracking layout for a couple. Enjoy and relish!

The Falcon seems to have been for sale for a very long time!

Maybe use one of these batteries on the B A models??

There is very little I don't really like that involves beef suet! Especially suet crust on a meat and potato pie!
-
All hire boats used to have a dip stick for the tank. I was always suspicious after this stopped. I once asked the yard, prior to departure, how much they were charging for fuel. Refused to tell me and very sternly insisted I do not even think about filling up prior to return.

We used to stop there often at least 10 years ago, maybe more. There used to be a really good sunday carvery on offer that was cooked right just as your Mum used to!

Maybe I am being fussy but the sales blurb states gelcoat finish! Has it been re-gelcoated as it was yellow topside!

There are not very many "Treasurer/Admin" badges Mr Modelling Wizard!

The "who cares" comment was out of order from someone with the admin badge and deserves an apology, if from someone without the badge or same person not using the badge would be easier to take.
We appreciate all the admin but if you post under the badge we expect better or you can't expect better of us.
Or the quip about a load of crap!

The water leaving the sewage treatment plants is vastly cleaner than the water already in the rivers. Remember every bird, fish and mammal is leaving their deposits in the water.
Hmmmmm that sounds as though it includes people!!!

I suspect your description "smug obnoxious character" tells all you need to know.

Horsey Staithe/mere
in Broads Chat
Posted
I would love to hear from anyone who manages to get up to Horsey this year! We "bullied" our way in on "Juliette" last year and found a mooring hard to to come by. We did manage to squeeze in but were never entirely sure if we were meant to be there or not. We had the obligatory stroll to the "Nelsons Head" which is a reward in itself. One of my very favourite parts of the Broads.
